What consent wording do you use? Which communications channels does it cover?

The standard consent text we give to users is: “Can we share your details with your charity? This will give them permission to contact you via email, for example about fundraising or news.

This wording gives you flexibility in what emails you can send to them.

If the user’s address is provided, then direct mail falls under legitimate interest – therefore you don’t need explicit consent for this.
