Typically when we receive such queries, it is because a user has multiple accounts with different email addresses and has only unsubscribed from one address. In very rare cases, a technical failure could cause the unsubscribe to not take effect.
Your email consent only affects marketing emails. Any transactional emails, such as emails confirming a donation, will continue to be sent.
